The 2024-2025 cohort of the Preaching Fellows arrive from a cross section of denominations and traditions:

  • Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ)

  • The Episcopal Church

  • Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

  • Presbyterian Church ECO

  • Presbyterian Church USA

  • Roman Catholic Church

  • Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod

In spite of their different backgrounds, each one is committed to delivering a keen-edged word from God that points to Christ's benefits given from the cross to all those L-word sinners (with a nod to Robert Farrar Capon): the last, the least, the lost, the leper, the languishing, the (l)broken, the (l)dying, and the (l)dead.

The Iowa Preachers Project at Grand View University gratefully partners with Mockingbird and with generous funding from the Compelling Preaching Initiative of Lilly Endowment Inc.
